Joel and Ethan Coen turn their starkly satiric eye on New York’s ’60s folk scene in Inside Llewyn Davis, premiering shortly at the Cannes Film Festival. Based on the red-band trailer above, the Coens certainly haven’t lost their flair for the humor of misguided human striving. In addition to Justin Timberlake, the cast includes Carey Mulligan embodying the latest incarnation of the Coens’ archetypal scolding female, Oscar Isaac in the title role, Garrett Hedlund looking literally 100% exactly the same as he does in On the Road, Coen stalwart John Goodman, and Girls guys Adam Driver and Alex Karpovsky. Very excited for this one.
